This coin ring features the historic wagon wheel badge of the Texas Rangers. The lone star has been a symbol of Texas since its inception and by cutting a star out of a Mexican coin, a Ranger was symbolically asserting Texas’ sovereignty over Mexico. In 1962, Ranger Hardy L. Purvis donated enough Mexican five-pesos coins to the Texas Rangers to provide badges for all Rangers then in commission.
This coin ring starts off with 1 Troy ounce of fine .999 silver bullion and is a great way to show your Texas pride and support for law enforcement.
Coin Ring Features:
- Obverse: displays the traditional wagon wheel Texas Rangers badge with a five point star.
- Reverse: depicts the reverse of a 1948 Mexican 5 Pesos piece with the National coat of arms of Mexico.
- Available in antique or high polish finish.
