This coin ring features a modern representation of the "Sons of Liberty". This secret society was formed to protect the rights of the colonists and to fight taxation by the British government. They played a major role in most colonies in battling the Stamp Act of 1765. Although the group officially disbanded after the Stamp Act was repealed the name was used by other separatist groups during the years preceding the American Revolution. The well-known label allowed organizers to make anonymous summons to the Liberty Tree and helped to promote inter-Colonial efforts against Parliament and the Crown's actions. Their motto became "No taxation without representation" and included historical American figures Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Paul Revere and Benedict Arnold.
This coin ring starts off with 1 Troy ounce of fine .999 silver bullion created as a modern tribute to American patriotism.
